VAT Changes on dn charges from 1st December
Well, as our UK – and perhaps EU – clients are already likely aware, in the UK Labour government’s infinite wisdom, the VAT sales tax rate is to be lowered from 17.5% to 15%. This was announced last week and is to take effect today (1st December).
The notice given UK businesses was… short to say the least (I thought of adding adjectives before that word, such as “unhelpfully” or “inconveniently”, but decided against it); just a week. Good thinking, Gord, Al. Consequently, our IT crowd here at dn towers has had little time to prepare the necessary changes to our systems amongst their other chores in time for the date of the rate change.
What this means for our UK and EU member clients (and these only) is that when you purchase anything from us, you will still be charged the old 17.5% rate. We will of course refund all these clients the 2.5% difference, and let them know via email we have done so, so no-one will be out of pocket, and be fully informed.
I’d like to apologise for this issue. But I assure you this in no way affects the registration or other systems and is only a temporary issue and will be resolved soon.
Still, if you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@dulynoted.co.uk.
