The duly noted® copyright banner is coming!
I must confess to feeling a little excited right now. I always do so when we’ve given our duly noted® development team something new to mess about with; a new project or service for our clients we want delivering. And when they start churning out results and delivery isn’t far away, I always get that tingly feeling! It’s embarrassing really – I’m like an impatient six year old the day before their birthday; I simply can’t wait to see the final result, out there and being used by our clients.
Well, I’m getting the tingles again, and I just have to tell you about it.
At the start of the year, we asked the guys to deliver us a copyright registration banner.
Now this banner is something we’ve wanted for a while, but we’ve had to hold off for various reasons I won’t go into here (simply as they’re all business related and of no interest to you. In fact, business matters have to take priority on occasion, which in case you’ve been wondering explains why my blog entries are a little thin on the ground right now). But we thought the start of 2007 – new beginnings, new opportunities, new developments – was the time to get our banner up and running.
And soon it will be with us.
Just think of it; if you’ve registered a work with us; a song, or artwork or a story, then very shortly you’ll be able to access your registered work listings via your personal Your NOTED! member’s page, and generate your own duly noted “copyright registered” banner. One of the great things about the banner is that – whether our clients have only just registered a work with us, or registered back at the beginning of duly noted® – all will be able to create their own banner. And they can place their banner either on their work as a notice if it’s artwork or video, or next to it on the web, or printed with on the work if its hardcopy, like a workbook, training manual, script or story, or on the back of their album cover. And you know what the best thing about this banner is?
Using it won’t cost our clients a penny extra.
Since we gave the development guys the go-ahead at the start of the year, they have been tinkering and coding away, working their magic, the lights from their castle on the hill burning into the wee hours and frightening the local villagers, until last week they sent us the preliminary banner designs for us to choose which one we want.
And they were good.
The headache now is choosing which design is the best. But you know what – and I guess that’s part of what excites me – you can dream about something, and the dream can excite you, then motivate you to action, and taking action can be an excitement in itself, as you know you’re on the path to making the dream real. But it’s when you start seeing the results…like for us seeing the banner designs, that’s when the blood really starts pumping! So although it’s a chore having to decide which design we like best, it’s only a really very minor chore, because it means our dream is almost realised, and another service that can benefit our clients will soon be here.
And once our copyright banner is launched, you’ll be first to know.
After our clients, of course.
